The West Midlands regional group has been active for many years now, supporting and encouraging pilgrims past, present and future. Several members of our group meet for a curry every few weeks in south Birmingham. Why not join us for a great meal and good conversation? We also have Cathedral and church visits, walks and talks.

If you’re planning to go on Camino soon, and have questions, then no matter which route you’re planning to take, there will be someone in the group who’s walked it.

We meet on or around St James’ Day each year. In 2024 we enjoyed a pub lunch in Shropshire and last year we continued our walk towards Winchcombe on St Kenelm’s Trail along the Birmingham-Worcester canal.

Upcoming event

We are walking together on St James’ Day, Saturday 25th July, in Warwickshire, from the village of Snitterfield to Stratford-upon-Avon (approx. 4.5 miles/ 7 km) where we’ll have lunch together. Careful parking is possible on the road outside the church of St James the Great. Following a short blessing we’ll set off through Snitterfield. It’s an easy, mostly downhill walk on public footpaths, although there are several stiles and gates. If you won’t be walking but would like to meet us for lunch, you are very welcome.
Please let Sue Butler know if you’d like to join us.
