The West Midlands Regional Group has been active for many years now, supporting and encouraging pilgrims past, present and future.  The group holds regular walks, and is famous for its Curry Club!  Boundaries boundaries between the CSJ’s various regional groups are fairly nebulous, and this group enjoys sharing plans and events with the newly formed Cotswolds/Oxon and Bristol/South West regional groups, to name but two.

August 2023:

The West Midlands regional group has enjoyed two gatherings recently. In late June we had a fascinating visit to Birmingham’s St Philip’s Cathedral, in the company of Revd Canon Andy Delmege. A scaffolding tour was included, to view at close hand the current conservation work on the famous Burne-Jones/William Morris windows.

Many thanks once again to Canon Andy. We have asked if we can return in January, once the work is complete, to see the stained glass in all its glory.

We invite anyone who wishes to join us in January to get in touch. Firm details will be sent out nearer the time.

On St James’ Day, 25th July, the weather was in our favour for our group lunch outdoors at the home of Edwina and Geoff, where we enjoyed paella, tortilla, Santiago cake and soft fruits. Thanks to our hosts for their wonderful hospitality on this special day.

It won’t be long till the autumn when we meet in Kings Heath to catch up with each other’s news and enjoy a meal together. It’s always good to welcome members old and new to these occasions. We look forward to seeing you

July 2023:

The CSJ West Midlands regional group is meeting on St James’ Day (Tuesday 25th July at 1.00pm) in Moseley, Birmingham for a feast of paella and Santiago cake, by kind invitation of two of our group members. We’d love you to join us for the afternoon.
